How to cope after the operation

O.K, so you haven’t had a huge and debilitating surgery which will have you laid up for weeks and weeks but you have put your face and in particular your mouth, under some severe trauma and this will obviously take a few days to recover from; particularly because some people can often feel groggy when coming round from a local anesthetic; the area injected can oftentimes feel quite strange for a long time after. So, the best way to cope after you’ve had your dental implants fitted is just to take it easy. Make sure there is someone who can pick you up from your clinic in Manchester, or your dentists in London; don’t try to get on public transport or drive yourself. Once home, relax; don’t feel bad about doing nothing for a while. The fact that you won’t be able to eat properly for a while probably won’t help your energy levels either. Don’t get frustrated by bruising or swelling, this will only hamper your recovery. After surgery there is nothing we want more than to burst out and show the world our new look but, be patient, it will be worth it.
